Curious what city council is actually going to put forward for RNO reform.

For those unaware...
- RNOs may overlap with others allowing certain areas to have disproportionate representation compared to the rest of the city where some RNOs don't exist at all.

- there are no requirements for RNOs to share any information with the surrounding community that are shared with them from City agencies.
Unless you're listed as an RNO contact, it's not possible to be on the mailing list from the various Ciy of Denver agencies.

- there are also no requirements for open elections for RNO Board of Directors. This allows the same people to stay in their positions of power hoarding information and continuing to appoint the same people to steering committees and to coalitions like Denver INC.

This is definitely not equitable and I think it is unethical.

What will be done to fix it?

Thank you in advance for your response.

Respectfully,
Bryan Wilson

🧡 Together, We Design What’s Next! 🧡

This season has been a powerful reminder of what’s possible when community leads. From advancing major, community-driven projects to seeing this work reflected in the news, we’re grateful for the many residents, partners, and collaborators who continue to shape this work alongside us.

We believe design is a tool for building belonging, and every conversation, story, and shared vision brings us closer to more equitable outcomes. As we celebrate these recent milestones and welcome new voices into our work, we’re excited for what we’ll continue to build together.

Celebrating Completed Work

🏘️ Conservation Overlay 🏡

Centering equity through a community-led conservation overlay

We’re excited to mark the release of the final South City Park Conservation Overlay proposal, a milestone shaped by the leadership of the South City Park Neighborhood Association and the thoughtful participation of neighbors throughout the process.

From early conversations to final recommendations, residents played a central role in defining priorities and navigating the balance between preservation and inclusion. The result is a policy framework that reflects the neighborhood’s values while intentionally addressing equity, supporting a future where long-time residents and new neighbors alike can continue to call South City Park home.

📣 Your City Your Voice 📣

Reimagining RNOs through Policy Co-Design

We’re proud to celebrate the completion of the Your City Your Voice report, a powerful reflection of what it looks like when community voices truly lead the way!

This work was shaped by the time, stories, and perspectives of hundreds of residents who participated through surveys, regional sessions, focus groups, and conversations across the city. Thank you for showing up and sharing so generously. We’re also grateful to our partners at City Council for their leadership and commitment to continuing this process, with additional engagement opportunities happening throughout April to gather feedback before final ordinance recommendations move forward.

🎨 303 Artway Transportation Implementation Plan 🎨

Advancing community-led mobility, safety, and connectivity

We’re proud to share the completion of the 303 ArtWay Transportation Implementation Plan, an important milestone in bringing this long-envisioned, community-led corridor to life!

This work was made possible through deep collaboration with our project partners (including DRCOG, Toole Design, the Montbello Organizing Committee, and DOTI) and, most importantly, the residents and community members who have shaped the vision every step of the way. Grounded in community priorities around safety, connectivity, and cultural expression, this plan lays the foundation for meaningful, long-term investments that will transform the 303 ArtWay into a vibrant, accessible, and celebrated public space for generations to come.

Thank you, but I'm asking what City Council will actually be putting forward.

I believe I've made my concerns clear.

Thank you,

Bryan, we will be taking the feedback from the community gathered through our Community Feedback Sessions and through the online feedback form to put together the new ordinance. We don't know the exact details of what City Council will be putting forward until we finish gathering community feedback, but they will be based on the community-informed considerations in the report.

Hope that clarifies things.
