Sidewalk Stamp Contest: Now Taking Submissions!
Denver's Sidewalk Program is inviting residents to leave their mark on the city through a new Sidewalk Stamp Contest! This contest gives YOU an opportunity to design a stamp that will be embedded in sidewalks across Denver for years to come.
The winning design will become a lasting feature of the city’s public spaces and receive a $1,000 prize.
The contest is open to Denver residents of all ages and backgrounds, and encourages submissions that reflect the city’s identity, creativity, and commitment to safe, accessible, and equitable sidewalks.
Designs must meet durability and size requirements to ensure they hold up over time in concrete.

Submissions are due Friday, July 31, at 11:59 p.m. Finalists will be selected by a review panel before advancing to a public vote to determine the winning design.

New Sidewalk Implementation Plan Survey
Phase 2 Outreach Launch: Report, Survey and Zoom Webinar
Earlier this year, DOTI asked Denverites share what their priorities for where sidewalk improvements are needed most. Based on the input received and ongoing technical analysis, DOTI is now evaluating different approaches for phasing sidewalk improvements across the city. This includes assessing how to balance resources between constructing new and widening and repairing existing sidewalks; how to deliver improvements quickly while focusing on areas where people walk and roll most; and how to distribute investments between our most stressful streets and neighborhood streets.

The final Sidewalk Implementation Plan will chart a path forward that balances completing sidewalk improvements in high priority areas while also building improvements quickly where work is easy to complete.
Denverites are asked to give their input on the benefits and trade-offs of different paths forward through a brief survey at bit.ly/SIPphase2survey. They can review the Charting the Path Forward report at bit.ly/ChartingThePathForward to learn more about the needs and risks for each approach. The survey closes Friday, July 31, at 11:59 p.m. and is available in Amharic, English, Spanish and Vietnamese.

What We Heard From You
Sidewalk Implementation Plan Phase 1 Outreach Recap
From January to March 2026, Denver’s Sidewalk Program confirmed public priorities for sidewalk build out from two previous planning efforts: the 2017 Denver Moves: Pedestrians & Trail s plan and 2023 Denver Moves Everyone plan. DOTI also shared details about the state of Denver’s sidewalk network through the State of the System Report.
Throughout our outreach, we gathered input through stakeholder meetings, in-person engagements, a virtual webinar, a telephone town hall and an online survey. Please see the By the Numbers infographic below for key community engagement, which included:
- 13 in-person events with 282 attendees engaged
- 1,236 survey responses
- 3,000+ visits to the State of the System Dashboard
- 7,000+ visits to the State of the System Report
