HFCC Democracy Institute, along with the League of Women Voters-Dearborn/Dearborn Heights and the University of Michigan-Dearborn (U-M Dearborn), will host the Second Annual Public Service Seminar on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. in the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC)This seminar will provide participants with a diverse view of public service from running for office to volunteering in community organizations. The goals of this seminar are to educate people about the various public service opportunities, convey information regarding the need for citizen participation in civic and community life, and encourage participants to consider one or more areas of public service. hfcc.edu
