Hi All,
I attended the RocketHub crowdfunding workshop this past weekend held at the Grand Circus Building. First off I want to say how much everyone loved the food from Eric Sand's Green Lotus Foods & Angela Dagle's Beautiful Soups! All the food was wonderful!!! We enjoyed it immensely!
For those that haven't heard of crowdfunding - here's a brief description: make a short, catchy video about your project that you want to raise money for (produce a CD, rent kitchen space. buy equipment, take a trip to see an ailing relative etc) and launch it on a crowdfunding site such as RocketHub. Tell your story in a compelling way so that other people see your passion and the value of your project and give money to support it. Here is a link on how to do it:
The guys from RocketHub were very hands on with practical suggestions how to present your message in the best manner possible for maximum impact. I found it very helpful for my project which will be to raise money for a dedicated gluten-free kitchen.
Wanted to share this awesome news I learned from the workshop. The A&E Channel is partnered with RocketHub and coming to Detroit! They are looking for great projects and compelling stories and could award $10,000 on the spot from a live pitch session. Event details:
