I just returned from the first planning mtg to create a community
garden at 2111 N. 49th St. (Washington Heights neighborhood). This is
a newly vacant lot (the condemned house was removed last fall), and
there is a solid group of people who want to turn it into a community
garden. We're looking for people who have gone through this process
before and who could answer questions/serve as a resource/adviser to
this initiative so we don't reinvent the wheel. Let me know if that
