Good news: my friend Zach Wisniewski has contacted Lara Fritts, the
city of Cudahy's Director of Economic Development about turning one of
the city-owned empty lots at Packard and Library Ave. into community
vegetable gardens. These apparently are not brownfield sites, just
empty. (Of course this does not mean that there's nothing bad in the
ground.) Ms. Fritts is interested in hearing more about this.
As this would be done in conjunction with the city of Cudahy, it may
be possible to get their financial assistance in making the garden
happen. I don't know that for sure, but it's more than likely.
We've got an opening here. Let's make a go of it! Who can help?
excited,
Jason.

> Jason, you may want to reach out to some of the Hide House plot renters. I know that there were a couple that were from Cudahy & St. Francis area.... I am sure they would love the opportunity to help get a community garden in their hood! Not sure if you have copies of any of the material we did for HH (lease, flyer etc.) If you need a copy of anything, just let me know....
