Please join us for the Chicago Sonographer Update 2022, a combined Virtual Live and pre-recorded On-Demand conference focusing on echocardiographic assessment of Left Heart Obstructive Lesions. The Live streaming session on Saturday, April 30th will include presentations and demonstration of live scanning, interactive Q & A sessions, and moderated panel discussions. Additional educational content in the form of enduring on-demand lectures will augment the live session. All lectures will be available to registrants for 30 days.
An optional Hands-On Scanning Workshop with emphasis on imaging of the aortic arch and palliated hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) will be held (local policies permitting) after the Live streaming session on Saturday, April 30.
INTENDED AUDIENCE AND COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course is designed for cardiac sonographers, fellows in training, pediatric cardiologists and sonography students embarking on a career in pediatric cardiac sonography. Participants should have a basic understanding of echocardiography. Upon conclusion of this educational meeting attendees should have improved their ability to:
- Identify key anatomical aspects of left heart obstructive lesions
- Recognize echocardiographic features of various left heart obstructive lesions
- Identify surgical repairs and/or palliations for left heart obstructive lesions
- Apply anatomic knowledge to performance and/or interpretation of echocardiograms in patients presenting with left heart obstructive lesions
- Comprehend the limitations of echocardiography and the need for multi-modality imaging
- Incorporate imaging techniques to image left heart obstructive lesions into daily practice
