Hello,
Think of six men you know, statistically speaking, one of those men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point in their lifetime. Testicular cancer is the leading cause of cancer among men age 18-35.
These are just two of the sobering facts I have learned about men's health during two years of participating in Movember as member of the City of Remo Moustache Growing Team. Movember is the month formerly known as November where men grow a Mo (moustache) to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. I am growing my mo for the second year to bring funds and awareness to these men's health issues.
Why am I writing you? Because I would like your help. There are many ways that you can do this:
1.) Donate via credit card - go to my mospace (http://us.movember.com/mospace/7146) and securely donate to Movember.
2.) Keep the change - take a jar, decorate it (I will give you mustaches to stick on there), place all your change in it for the entire month and at the end of the month it can all go to Movember.
3.) Patronize our sponsors as most of them are donating a portion of their proceeds to Movember (see http://cityofremo.com/sponsors for a list).
Remember, every cent counts so if you can only give a couple of dollars, please do so. Last year, the City of Remo raised over $1,600. This year we are already at over $3,000 and are hoping to go well beyond our goal of $5,000. Through your donation, you can help men be more healthy.
You received this email because we have communicated via email and you were added to my contact list (most likely automatically). If you would not like me to send you any more emails, please reply and I will be sure to remove you from the list.
