We are crawling toward a computerised system. This relates to our
eventual implementation of a new ChMS (database). Because of the
product we've chosen we are locked in with specific printer (and
recommended barcode scanner, but realisticly any barcode scanner would
be OK).
Most products now have check-in: FellowshipOne, Arena, CCB & and
Aussie producted called iChurch (which a certain massive Sydney based
church use).
A guy from iChurch recently contacted me & you can sus out their
website here:

One interesting thing that we've done. Our kids dept have recently
changed their sign-in/out process so that it's closer to what the
computerised system does. This enables them (and the parents) to get
used to the new process without having to learn how to drive the
computer at the same time. By the time we roll out our check-in kiosks
they'll already know how the process works.
