I was watching the new program by Aamir Khan on Star Plus and noticed
that it too had the same goals like us (a bit modified), like it
talked and discussed about Female Foeticide in the 1st episode and
Child abuse in the next. It is fighting against social evils
currently, which are ultimately borne out of corruption.
Like in the first episode, a major sting operation carried out by two
journalists against doctors carrying on female foeticide and other
practices went literally unnoticed. My question, rather suggestion, is
to contact Satyameva Jayate. Let them also know that Cgov is starting
to raise the voices of the people who go unnoticed, and sort out their
grievances.

Corruption has it's own implications in such things like female
foeticides. Even the Rajasthan police did not want to settle this
issue and put the corrupt people behind bars, in fact if you watch the
episode here -

you will know that the gov. doctors had promotions as well - even
after their offences were publicized.
I think that Citizens Government can put pressure on the media to
further highlight this issue and in turn force the government of
India to take steps to control such issues. My idea is contacting the
Program runners and letting them know of our initiative. Let them know
that we are supporting them, and in turn want to get their support as
well. We are not sponsoring them in any way since CG is purely a
volunteer-initiative. We may ask them to at least speak of us at the
end of their daily episode so that our reach may be extended and - our
common goals be fulfilled. Doing this will help us in a couple of
ways:-
1) The trivial point of publicity - people will know more about
cgov.in
2) this will greatly help us gain some weight-age, in the sense that
the corrupt officials, when contacted by us while dealing with certain
complains, will get to know that we have strong backup from the media
as well. In other words, the officials will at-least care to listen to
us, which may not be if we just contact them and suddenly tell them
our tale that we are from CG and we have complains against you.....so
on and so forth....
Also in extreme cases, Cgov and Satyameva jayate may just work
together, neither would'e been able to succeed otherwise, somehow.
They may reject this proposal, very likely they will, but I think we
should make an attempt from our end. If you want, someone of our team
from India can do this job.
