Description: This position provides intensive home visiting and case management services to a caseload of
approximately 25 pregnant women, infants, children and their families at risk for abuse/neglect
and developmental delays due to physical, emotional, psychological, or environmental factors.
The target population is young first time parents. Works with children and parents in their homes
to optimize physical, mental and emotional well being utilizing the “Healthy Families America”
model of services.
Screens and conducts assessments of family and child strength and needs; develop family service
plans and goals. Provides access to and makes referrals to preventative supportive and community
resources as needed. Uses a structured curriculum and developmental activities to provide parent
education to improve parenting skills, increase knowledge of child development and enhance
parent child interaction. Maintains all necessary documentation and collects information needed
for program evaluation.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am -5:00 pm-(occasional evening hours to accommodate families’
schedules.)
Requirements: Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an
accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in social work and at least 1 year
experience in social work or a Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or related curriculum
including at least 15 semester hours in courses related to social work or counseling and at least
two years experience working with children and their families. Must possess a valid driver’s
license. Prefer applicants with good knowledge of child development and the risk factors
for child abuse and/or neglect. Prefer bilingual applicants with fluency in English and
Spanish.
Compensation: $18.56 - $32.76 per hour

Early Childhood Education Specialist
East Coast Migrant Head Start Project is a federally funded non-profit corporation serving migrant farm worker children (6 weeks – 6 years) and their families in eleven States on the east coast. We are currently seeking an Early Childhood Education Specialist for North Carolina . Responsible for providing leadership, support, and training/technical assistance to five Centers in the eastern part of the State. Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field w/ minimum12 credit hours in ECE. Minimum 5 yrs. experience in Early Childhood settings.
