The focus points for the seminar are as follows:
1. Factors behind the continuing victory of the two ‘Ms’, i.e. Money and Muscle power.
2. Focus on the origin of such factors and whether they are here to stay in the coming future.
3. Sluggish pace of electoral/political reforms and discuss the role of political parties in this regard.
4. Measures that could be taken to ensure timely implementation of various
recommendations proposed by ECI, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and other
agencies for electoral/political reforms which would strengthen our democracy.
5. Importance of Informed Voting.
6. Role of youth in strengthening our democracy.
