It's great to hear all of the affirmations for creating the CEA. I'm still waiting to speak with Larry, but I imagine after a short break he will actually now be able help advance the CEA more directly without having his campaign.

I have talked with a fiscal sponsor and it looks like the fees start at 10% and decline with the size of the balance. It takes a $1,000 deposit to open an account. I will shop around to see if this is competitive.

We still need some Python and Google App Engine folks to sign up to look at branching the current pledge service. Let me know if you can help and I'll add you to the tech team in ryver.

Lastly, I just wanted to share my thoughts on why I think Larry should and will keep fighting. It's a seven minute read, but hopefully worth making time for.

Ever forward,

Sigh.

I'm not sure why, but ordinary people simply do not understand that they can't fix Washington without a candidate like Lessig.

Even the internet generation - which I think describes reddit users - does not get it. I posted this to Reddit "In the news" and got a net total of 2 upvotes:

https://www.reddit.com/r/inthenews/comments/3rbgwa/dnc_changes_rules_to_derail_larry_lessigs/

By the way, notice how the first commenter - after ignoring DNC's behavior to instead whine that Lessig's campaign is "whiney" about it - completely misses the point of Lessig's campaign:

"I don't know, it sounds kind of whiney. He ran on a single issue for a while and didn't come up with more concrete policy ideas until later in the game"

I dunno. If even netizens can't see the need to reclaim democracy, what hope is there for the country as a whole?
