Dear Friends,
Just now after confirming "Govt issued gazette notification on joint committee" we have decided to call off the support parade in Edinburgh. However I would be there at the venue to answer people who didn't get the information regarding call off. It is evident yet again, impossible is possible if only we stand up together. Anna Hazare brought a ray of Hope to the people who were left only with despair. Now everyone is aware of impeccable capacity of our Polity to evade LokPal for the last 42 years and failing the bill in the house for 8 times, thanks to Anna. It took 42 years to fail the bill when people not questioned, It took 4 days to pass the bill when people questioned, thanks to Anna. Having said that, The Answer to "Bad Politics" is "Good Politics" and "More Politics" Not "No Politics" - Dr. JP, Lok Satta.
On March 26th 2011, we organised Dandi March-2 in London from Gandhi Statue to Indian Embassy in support of Anti Corruption Movement in India, Anna Hazare and our fellow Indians (
DandiMarch2.org team) who went on for 240 miles padayatra. Incidentally, one of our slogan was "Kill Corruption before it Kills you". Example issue:
Andhra Pradesh had traffic fatality rates in the country with 43,108 people losing their lives in 1,35,713 accidents in the last three years. If Root Cause Analysis was done on the above statistics (for that matter 99.9% of issues in India), it will end up showing corruption. However, I would say, if Politicians/Traditional_Political Institutions are of great capacity not to curb corruption, then the Root Cause is politicians/(from) Traditional_Political Institutions. One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors - plato. "Then you will end up being inferior"(Derived from Sanskrit saying - Yatha Raja Thatha Praja)
Watch out for enlightened political institutions in your place, try to follow their ideology (not crap traditional parties ideology) and understand what they are upto and spread the news if they are good. If there is no spreading about good, the good guys come lost, we will be left with morons.
3 years back I have found the party LokSatta in my state of Andhra Pradesh (Also called as Makkal Sakthi Katchi in Tamilnadu) lead by a person with outstanding track record of achievements, clarity and vision. He knows what he is doing ie., Dr Jayaprakash Narayan (Dr. JP). These 3 years, accompanied with great volunteers and intellectuals it has changed my views of looking at the nation, politics, people and issues. Now I am not the one who cares about petty differences like primordial loyalties but I do care for a broader cause. It has been a great transformation, learning ever since which influenced my personal life as well. "Yatha Raja Thatha Praja", Dr JP is my leader.
I Hope one day there will all be enlightened and Intellectual personalities in the house of parliament and state assemblies. So that great soul's like Anna Hazare will not have to take any burden at the age of 72. Extremely sorry if I have had bored you with my lengthy email early on a lovely weekend. I guess the events that took place around me in the past couple of weeks moved me to share this with you.
My sincere thanks to you all who have attended the Dandi March2 event London, who have worked along with me for the Edinburgh's event which was planed 36 hours ahead and all the supporters for the cause.
You are most welcome to fire any queries.
Thanks again,
Vamsi Manam,
LokSatta Volunteer,
United Kingdom.
