As a citizen i had sent an email to DCP- TRAFFIC -EAST suggesting some of
my thoughts in improving Traffic- i had sent this email in MAY and got the
reply ATLEAST ON JULY 21st
I thought of sharing this mail with the group to check if any of u are aware
of LOCAL AREA TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE'S and are we affiliated to
this,He also suggested that they are open to ideas- since many of u who are
interested in this area can send ur views to the emails below -i am not sure
which year u will get reply

We acknowledge the receipt of your mail suggesting various methods to
improve the prevailing traffic conditions of this city.
Traffic management is a sphere that demands the active participation
of pulic and police. We have already initiated Local Area Traffic
Management Committes and many associations have got affiliated to this
scheme.
This apart, your suggestions will be taken note of.
Please keep sending your valuable ideas and views pertaining to city
traffic.

This is simply great. CAF should, in my view, grab this opportunity.
Sometime back I had requested for a couple of volunteers to anchor a major intervention in traffic management.
This subject, as you would all appreciate, is not something that could be tackled piecemeal. Agreed, small interventions, such as a local traffic management committee of citizens could help in the immediate vicinity of a habitat, we need to do much more.
May I request you all once again to come forward as volunteers. We could then brainstorm and get it going. I am willing to lend my ideas and suggestions and spare some time too.
