Col Mathews,

I really appreciate your resolve and focus on this issue. Your perseverance inspite of several hurdles put up to block you from going ahead and your doing this inspite of it, is indeed laudable.

Before the formation of the CAF of which we had an active role, the focus or the main purpose was `Public Consultation; and if you may recall, we discussed at length as to how major issues are thrust on us without any debate or Consultation. This was about the formation of Bruhut Bengaluru and transformation from BMP to BBMP? At that time we did recognize the fact that each of us did have opinion but put to collective use and the good of all, we can arrive at consensus. Thus CAF was not intended to be a mouthpiece or `Volunteers; or a group of motley crowd singing paeans to all that the Government was doing?

Infact it was to facilitate more such programmes that educate, create awareness and also discuss in Public domain about the utility of Public Programmes.

With lot of gaping holes and dark alleys in the UID, it is definitely an issue worth the debate and Public outcry. The size of funds deployed, the methodology, declarations that are really preposterous and that too profusely quoted in the meeting are all grave concerns that need to be addressed.

Infact the likes of `Ramkumar's' who apart from having dialogues with NN and bringing out the facets that are of worry is the right thing to do rather than people who just talk out of their own `imaginations; and perceived notions of every issue.

Unfortunately by the exchanges, CAF is tending to become more of printing `Visiting Cards;' "Letter Heads", Publicity tool for certain people who think that they have achieved much with their own hidden agendas.

People who use their contacts to promote their own self interest and seeking funds for their private institutions posing themselves as Public spirited Citizens are a greater threat then terrorists who roam around the place with guns.  Terrorists are bold and are ready to face consequences even if they are caught. However, the deceitful set of people posing as good Samaritans and hogging the limelight but in reality are nothing but `White collared crooks' are to be watched out. They are much more dangerous and cause more harm that too as cowards. We have too many of them out here that we better watch out.
