BBMP budget-present progress report

Dear sir

 

The recently presented BBMP budget has not focused on any thrust subject which is common to all wards viz- handling stray dogs in all the wards so that atleast one major common  problem to entire city would have been handled .It has not addressed on how they will collect 100%property tax

 

Instead of introducing cess on 2 wheelers it would be better to tax on those individuals who have more than one Four  wheeler registered in their name, similarly there should be penalty on those commercial establishments who have not provided Parking facilities.

 

One does not understand why BBMP have to pay premium on insurance on auto drivers, it is the duty of the auto owners to look after  the welfare of his driver or the state Transport department to look into it

 

   Since there are departments like vocational education,  employment and training ,KEONICS who are imparting training to unemployed why there is a need for training department in BBMP, similarly there is no need for Cultural Department in BBMP since the Bangalore division of Kannada and culture department of Karnataka Government can do that job, instead there is a need for a PUBLIC GRIEVANCE OFFICER in each zone to address public grievances.

 

Finally, BBMP should come out with an quarterly report  card to citizens on how they have utilized the Budget in that quarter and action plan for next quarter
