Data Naming Clarification

Hello Everyone!

I am using the Citi bike data for my senior thesis and wanted to ask a clarification question about the downloadable CSV data. There seem to be two types of data the, JC monthly data and the normal monthly data. The JC data seems to be much larger, more extensive than the normal data.

Can anyone explain the difference between the two datasets qualitatively? Is it that the JC data includes Citi trips in Jersey City? If so, it seems implausible that there are so many more Citi trips in Jersey City but not Manhattan.

Any help is appreciated.

After further investigation, I realized the data is most certainly Jersey City data but also confused the size of the files.

My follow up question is: Does the Manhattan data include trips to Jersey City or are such trips excluded?

I’m also doing a thesis using CitiBike data—it seems like the “normal data” includes almost no data from JC

Not sure how many ppl have taken a Citi bike from JC to manhattan, probably once or twice, but I generally think the areas are different that’s why they have them as such

Read the terms of Citibike membership, which prohibit riding between JC and NY (though a few have done it via the GWB or a ferry). IIRC anyone that does that risks a fine.

I heard on the grapevine, but do not know for a fact, that each system is a different legal entity, so the bikes in each system have different immediate owners.

When someone consumes psilocybin mushrooms, they may experience hallucinations, euphoria, and depersonalization. Some may have an unpleasant experience, or even worse, pick and eat the wrong type of mushroom.

What are the Effects of Psilocybin Mushrooms?

Mushrooms containing the hallucinogenic substance psilocybin are consumed by people who are attempting to experience a psychedelic high. When someone ingests what are commonly called “magic mushrooms,” psilocybin activates serotonin receptors in the prefrontal cortex, affecting perception, cognition, and mood. Mushrooms can be found growing in the wild or they may be grown by individuals or drug manufactures. Psilocybin mushroom spores can be purchased online for people to grow personally, although they risk facing legal consequences for possessing a Schedule I controlled substance. Schedule I drugs have no medical use and have a high potential for abuse. The effects of psilocybin mushrooms depend on the potency and amount that is consumed.
