Job Description:
A Senior Interface Designer is wanted for the San Francisco area. This company is offering an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of interface and industrial. Help develop products for the convergig worlds of computing, communication and DTV. Senior interface designers design the human interface for a variety of products. The incumbent will be involved in all aspects of products development from concept design through production. Interfaces are created using a variety of methods but are focussed on industry standard tools and techniques. Position will also involve web site desing and production associated with our products and intranet site. The designer will have the opportunity to work closely with business groups on active projects and will be involved in strategic research projects.
The incumbent will be involved inuser interface development (including design concepts,logic and visual details) for cunsumer electronics products. Senior designer are expected to be able to communicate clearly and make design presentation to business groups. On small projects, this individual will work independently, or under limited supervision. On larger projects, the designer will act as a team leader and/or project member. The designer will utilize understanding of market, technological trends, and corporate strategies in development of UI in collaboration with engineering and marketing groups.
Desired Skills:
This position requires a college degree in interface desing, web design or a related field. Four to five years of experience working in the industry is also expected. Technical requirements include knowledge of web-based development tools, and experience with Director, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Position also requires work experience on a variety of projects focussing in converging areas of Audio Video products, computing, and DTV. Experience disigning for TV is a plus. The successful candidates should possess the ability to quickly study and understand the technological trends associated with projects will be expected. Expertise and/or competency in typical UI development tools (photoshop,illustrator, Director/Lingo, html design and production is required. Animation experience is a plus.
