Hi Clement,

I found below from sybex 8th edition so need your inputs.
===========================
We recommend you  attempt to eliminate as many answer selections as possible before  making a guess, and consider skipping the question instead of  randomly guessing only if you are unable to eliminate any answer  options. Make educated guesses from a reduced set of options to  increase your chance of getting a question correct.
===========================

Wrong answers will anyway count against passing grade so its better to skip questions in case of unsure and is its not counted. I mean if at all ISC2 has an process for not counting the skipped questions then we should know these rule.

Thanks
Anil

Good day, Anil,

I hope all is well on your side?

Obviously, when they updated the book they totally miss this part.
This is NO longer applicable. You never get to see a question a
second time if you take the English version of the CISSP exam which is
in the new CAT format.

I also recommend you use the process of elimination. There is always
one choice that is easy to eliminate. Then you try to drop another
one and that leaves you with 2 possible choices. Which is 50%of
chance to get it right or wrong?

Whoever wrote this had no clue how the old exam was working. Wrong
questions DID NOT penalize you other than not getting the points for
that specific question. It is always BEST to guess then leaving it
blank.

Best regards

Clement

I would say thats surprising, becoz the exam doesn't allow you to go back or revisit questions.  Usually we don't skip with the hope that our educated guess turns out to be correct.

 Sybex's review was not that great compared to all other books.

Clement had the Sybex 7th edition rated as the best study book for the CISSP CBK 2015:

Does that standing hold true for the 8th edition with the CISSP CBK 2018 format?
