Ok so you just passed your CCNA. How do you end up with an IT job that
is not working Geek Squad at Best Buy? Well one way is to work for a
Cisco Partner.

You see, Cisco created the Certification program to be able to be able
to audit which partners have certain specializations.

So for example, if a Cisco Partner wants to Sell VOIP soultions from
cisco they have to have X amount of certified people in VOIP.

Resellers need numbers of certified engineers to reach Cisco's Premier,
Silver and Gold partner levels as well.

If you can get an additional specialty certification from Cisco under
your belt. Take a wireless exam to get an additional cert.
Information about additonal certs is located on Cisco's site here.

SO how do you find the resellers and Cisco partners? Search the Cisco
partner locator.

FYI Registered partners don't need certified staff and can only resell
a limited number of cisco gear.

Just my two cents. Many people focus on inhouse jobs, but working for
a Cisco Partner can be very lucrative.
