p1 and h7

I’m trying to grade p1 tonight and get a better sense of what progress with h7 means. I might have the h7 requirements written tomorrow morning.

 

I would also like to skype with as many of you as possible to maximize ways in which we can help each other: I learn from you and I pass that along to other students who can learn from you.

 

I’m available to skype Thursday night and Friday night, Sunday any time, and not too much on Monday, but the earlier on Monday, the better. Here is the plan:

·        I think Matt W and Laura have made the most progress with user cases and mockups. If I talk with them, then we’ll have some model user cases and mockups that others can use. Mike, Steve, and Harry can make progress too.

·        Dan and Rebecca have made good progress with the view-control layer, but in different ways. Chris is holding the middle ground. I met with Chris this afternoon. I’d like to skype with Dan and Rebecca individually.

·        Aaron and Brice have the SQL scripts working (I still need to check on the corresponding php modules). Matt E has everything lined up nicely now to get the php modules to work. Scott is catching up with the scripts tonight. I’m sure there are very important lessons to learn from the php modules and share with everybody.

·        Brice has fully staged the application: both the code base and the database. Matt E can probably do the database staging, and Matt W already did the code base. Harry can stage the application and Scott will stage the database.

I know you have assignments and exams in other classes. But the most we push on the critical aspects of the project now, the less stressed will be at the end of the semester when all the other courses have finals and final projects.
