Andrew,

Which of the test images are considered part of the easy set? And also if we are to submit it today, will we have to submit it individually or as a group?

You can submit it as a group.

Instead of an easier set, I'll leave it as successfully passing 10 images that must include image 8 and at least one of image 12,14, 15.  In image 8 you don't need to find all the logos, but you should find several (basically you must show that it's capable of finding multiple matches and isn't just finding the best).  The 12,14, and 15 are included to show the handling of distorted logos.  In this case the distortion on the replacement logo should closely match the detected.

Do we need to submit this today or by the project deadline?

If you have it that much working today, then submit it today and the image blending and color matching stuff will be extra credit if turned in later.  If the detection and morphing isn't ready for today then you can submit it by the 20th and the blending + color matching will be a requirement rather than extra credit.  Alternatively if you wait to the 20th but can detect all the logos (perhaps missing a few of the many that are in image 8, but getting all the logos in all the other images), then the blending+color will again be extra credit.

Hey, what if our logo detection and morphing are almost done, but we wanna make more improvement, can submit later someday before 20th instead of today?

There are 2 views of the way this works, 1 is that depending on if you turn it in today or the 20th the requirements change.  The other view is that the deadline for the basics (passing the set described above and not having blending) is due today for full credit.  Then blending + more detections are extra credit and can be submitted up until the 20th.  The extra credit will at minimum compensate for a late submission of the basics (thus making it possible to receive full credit and not submit anything until the 20th).

If you're passing the basic set, then turn it in today and you can continue to make it better and receive additional credit (passing more than the required set of pictures, even if not passing all 17 will still get some bonus).  For grading, basically we'll look at your most recent submission turned in before midnight tonight and your final submission before the 20th.  If nothing is turned in tonight, we'll just look at the 20th.
