Version 8.04 of SteelVis, the NIST CIS/2 to VRML and IFC Translator,
is now available.

This version improves the processing of some plates in CIS/2 files.
Specifically, plates in CIS/2 files from Frameworks Plus and
SmartPlant 3D that are used to model concrete slabs.

Previously, those slabs would have the wrong position, orientation,
and shape. Now the position and orientation is fixed, however, the
shape might not be completely correct depending on how they are
specified in the CIS/2 file.

Plates that are used to model concrete walls in those CIS/2 files
might still look wrong.

To upgrade, if you're a current user, in SteelVis go to Help > Check
for Update. If not, go to http://cic.nist.gov/vrml/cis2.html and
follow the links to download a copy.
