SDNF(.sdf) to CIS/2 translator?

Dose anyone know of a reliable SDNF(.sdf) to CIS/2 translator?
So far the only options I have seen are more expensive then my company
is willing to pickup right now. (Tekla, FrameWorks(R) Plus 7.2,
ProSteel and Robot millennium)

I’ve been contemplating writing one of my own. The SDNF(.sdf) format
is a space delimited plain text file that could be converted to the
xml based CIS/2 format. There is little documentation as the format is
a proprietary Intergraph one.

It might be interesting to convert SDNF to XML based CIS/2, but I'm
not aware of any applications that import or export XML based CIS/2.
