I have a problem with the machine. It stops working, when i do the isolation milling process. The "stop" is accompanied with vibrating in one of the y axis. I restart, and sometimes it stuck even in the "home" process. I use a liquid lubricant (sewing machine lubricant), but maybe that creates the problem. Can you please help me?

Hi,

This indeed sounds like an issue with lubrication. The user manual specifically discourages using liquid lubricants. I would advice you to follow the documentation and lubricate it say, with a lithium based grease.

Make sure to clean the machine before applying a new lubricant.

Regards,
Simon

Hi again,
I changed the lubricant with grease(lithium). I updated CirqWizard to cirqwizard-1.5.5.exe and the firmware to cirqoid-0.1.18.bin . At first, the Cirqoid worked perfect, smooth movements and no problems at all. After every process (milling, drilling, drilling with another bit) i home the machine, and a hour ago the machine again stoped. The left y rail vibrate and the machine can't work. :(

What was the machine doing when it stopped? Is that the same thing every time?

Do you have “Y axis difference” parameter correctly specified in the settings?

Before stop of the machine, i made isolation milling, then home, then 2 cycles drill with different drills. Then i pressed "away", take out the board, and start to make another board. Pressed home button, the machine get back to start position. But you know, that it makes some movements in that position and there start the vibration....
In the calibration parameters Y axis is defined as in test certificate with machine...
Before a minute i homed the machine successfully, and that means the problem is from time to time, but when it start, Cirqoid can't work in that day anymore and stops my work.

May I ask what is the problem with oil or other liquid lubricants? (I don't challenge it, I'm just curious)

Apparently, grease tends to stay where it's needed longer, comparing to liquid lubricants. We were experimenting with different types of lubricants and found grease to be performing better than the others.

Sorry to ask this late and sorry if my english is not too good.

I'm having the same problem with mine just all across the Y axis, the left one starts vibrating to various values of Y. It used to be from time to time, but now its permanent, sometimes it stops working and stays vibrating, did you get to solve your problem or do you have some recomendations about that?
