I am a huge fan of the tv show Boomerang! Ever since the first airing I was hooked. The characters are a great fit with the actors that play the roles pulling it off with style and I am hoping that the show will be renewed for another season.
Also part of the season will be Dixon Face/Watchplace (April 1), presented by Dixon Place and seven original members of Watchface. Watchface is a performance collective that was active from 1983 to 1991. This benefit will commemorate both the 30th anniversary of Dixon Place and the launch of Watchface Archives website.
The Cowgirls are once again getting noticed in the league with a fifth-place ranking in the 2009-10 MWC Preseason Poll. Wyoming garnered 121 votes to finish in the middle of a tight pack, and is sandwiched between No. 4 New Mexico (168) and No. 6 BYU (109).
One setback came when junior guard Aubrey Vandiver took a redshirt year because of a long battle with mononucleosis and missed the entire season. The third-team All-MWC selection in 2007-08 averaged 10.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game while adding 66 assists and 42 steals as a sophomore.
Langford immediately proved to be an impact player, but she was later hampered by a lingering back injury as the season trudged on. She ended with an average of 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
But as fast as she arrived on the map of the MWC, she was almost gone just as quick. Langford flew back to her home in Australia with doubts of ever playing basketball again because of her back problems. She took part in an offseason training regimen with the focus on her back, not to mention plenty of rest.
IN the summer of 1968-69 a geological expedition from Victoria University of Wellington examined the Beacon supergroup over an area of 3,500 km2 between the Olympus and Boomerang ranges (Fig. 1). In this area the Beacon supergroup comprises as much as 2,300 m of flat-lying non-marine sediments from Devonian or older to Triassic in age. The season's work contributed to the regional geology in two ways: abundant Devonian freshwater fish remains were discovered and collected, thus extending the known geographic distribution and variety of the fossil assemblage; and a thin sequence of glacial beds of Late Palaeozoic age were found to be widespread throughout the area. Data from the measurement of thirty detailed stratigraphic sections have also led to considerable refinement of Beacon supergroup nomenclature (Table 1).
