SPRING Performing Arts Festival and Sociétas Raffaello Sanzio are calling participants for an intensive four day masterclass with one of the most influential theatre directors of Europe: Romeo Castellucci. Within the frame of Castellucci’s performance Human use of human beings, which will be presented at SPRING, we offer a unique combination of workshop, rehearsals and performing in a Sociétas Raffaello Sanzio production.
Performers and creators in the wide range of the performing arts field are warmly invited to apply, deadline for application is March 16, 2015.
Having the oeuvre of Castellucci at its focus, the masterclass will investigate one of the essential themes of Castellucci’s work and practice: the nature of representation The masterclass will include an introduction to the works and working methods of Sociétas Raffaelo Sanzio, workshop sessions with Romeo Castellucci and participants will be trained to perform in Human use of Human Beings shown at SPRING Festival at 22 and 23 May 2015.
The call for participants is open to professionals and students in the field of performance – both actors/dancers/performers and directors/creators (preferably with some performing experience) are welcome. The masterclass by Romeo Castellucci is part of SPRING Academy, a contextual program to the festival extending the dialogue that starts with artists and their presented works, through workshops, lectures and talks.
