Gulshan Devaiah was last seen in Vasan Bala's directorial, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, which has been touted as the 'desi Deadpool'. The film marked the entry of actress Bhagyashree's son, Abhimanyu Daasani, in Bollywood. The 29-year-old starred alongside Gulshan and Pataakha actress Radhika Madan in the film. Unfortunately, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota didn't get a lot of screens in the theatre but it received a positive response from the audience. Gulshan, in particular, was lauded for his portrayal as Karate Mani and Jimmy. Days after the release of his film, BollywoodLife caught up with Gulshan for a chat. In an exclusive interaction with us, the actor spoke about a lot of things including the sequel of his 2015 film, Hunterrr. So, when we inquired about Hunterrr's sequel to Gulshan, he said, "Harshavardhan Kulkarni se puchna padega (laughs). He had come up with an idea at one point of time but he isn't happy with the script that he has written and is not sharing the same with us too. If we announce part two, everything will fall into the place as this franchise has a good brand name. But Harshavardhan doesn't want to make the sequel just for the heck of it, he wants to make a film which will be better than the first one. That is his artistic point of view and I respect that. So, it is completely up to Harsh whether he wants to make the film or not." Sex comedies seem to be the in thing in Bollywood these days. First we saw the Masti series which will now see its third film Great Grand Masti which is on the cards. Now, we hear that Gulshan Devaiah and Radhika Apte have been cast in Harshvardhan Kulkarni's Hunterrr sequel.
The first installment of the film released in March this year. It was about a sex addict and his journey in life. Devaiah and Apte were praised for their roles in the film, but the film was declared as an average grosser. The sequel to the sex comedy will go on floors in January 2016, and according to reports the screenplay is getting finalised right now. The story will apparently revolve around Mandar's (Devaiah) adventures in his married life.
