Beth Gingold, Founder of Recycle Leaders, loves training educators and green teams to lead seriously fun waste action projects! She invites you and any educators or high school students you know to join the pilot “EveryWear Counts” action research course this Plastic Free July, a partnership with Audubon Naturalist Society (ANS) designed to catalyze action on microplastic pollution from laundry. This challenge is modeled off of the Make the Most of Food (remote) challenge for Earth Month 2021 she co-created with green team leaders including high school students, teachers, custodians, action researchers from DC wards 7 and 8, ANS, and the EPA’s Food Too Good to Waste Peer Network. Previously, during her 5 years of leading the recycling program for DC Public Schools, she launched the first city-wide civic action challenges for schools, published the DCPS Recycles! Honor Roll performance data and success stories on interactive maps, and gave input to more than 10 LEED modernization projects. She is a LEED Green Associate and holds a Master of Environmental Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
