Heads up! The EPA is unleashing a flood of federal funding to support community-based initiatives that reduce pollution, mitigate climate impacts and promote circularity. A signature feature of these grant programs is guidelines that direct funding to disadvantaged communities, and a broad range of waste reduction strategies are eligible for the awards.
The NRC is committed to making sure this funding is well spent through a series of webinars, podcasts, and online articles that allow our members and affiliates to develop highly competitive proposals. NRC Board member Jay Bassett will share information and insight on the EPA Climate Pollution Reduction Grant program and what you should be doing now to take advantage of this opportunity. NRC Board member Kristine Kubat will highlight how Recycle Hawaii is following Jay’s advice in their state.

Webinar Presenters

Jay Bassett is an expert on asset-based community development and a former advisor to the US EPA Region 4 currently working as a volunteer with Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful, Sustainable Gwinnett and the Lifecycle Building Center. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Recycle Hawaii where she puts a wide ranging background in politics, advocacy, journalism, project management and community outreach in service to the organizations' mission.
