It just occurred to me that Circular Economy enthusiasts might be interested in the effort referenced below with respect to battery take back in DC.

I regret not having been able to attend yesterday's BYO Movement event that Stephanie and Janine brought to our attention. Perhaps we might hear a report on this at a future meeting?

Hi all,

Call2Recycle submitted its proposed battery stewardship plan on December 30, 2022 and DOEE has made this plan available for public review and comment in line with DC law (DC Code 8-771.03(b)(2)). The notice of availability for public review and comment with directions for submitting comments was published in the District of Columbia Register on January 13, 2023 and the plan was posted on DOEE’s Battery Stewardship: Producers webpage that day.

As a reminder, comments on the proposed plan are accepted until February 13, 2023.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Best,

Jen Dickman
