Hi all,

I work for Surrey Wildlife Trust and am trying to use Circuitscape to measure the connectivity within our Biodiversity Opportunity Areas. I have managed to create the resistance raster and habitat value raster with the Resistance and Habitat Calculator tool in Gnarly Landscape Utilities but I have tried and failed all day to have any joy with Core Mapper.

Could someone please advise on any requirements for the input files? I am stuck because of the following:
  • I am able to run the demo successfully
  • My area for analysis is much smaller than the demo area (9000m across as appose to 90,000m +)
  • My spreadsheet with the parameters is identical to the tutorial one, I used theirs to create it and edited a few things e.g. file pathway
  • Sometimes ArcGIS just crashes as soon as the code reaches "Moving Window Radius = 500"
  • The furthest I have got, by increasing the moving window radius to 10000, led to Error 999999 generic error message unable to run focal statistics.
Any advice would be hugely appreciated as the user manual for Core Mapper is not hugely detailed in certain parts!
