Hi everyone,

I am trying to run Circuitscape in the advanced mode in a standalone version for Windows. Although I never get an error circuitscape does not generate any asc files. It only generates a file with the configuration (.ini) and a text file with infos about the run, but no maps (although I requested current and voltage map in the settings).
Circuitscape seems to automatically attach .out to the output directory that I choose, could that prevent the program from recognizing the directory?

Does anyone has an idea, what the problem could be in this case?
The input files I use should be fine as I am trying to reproduce results from a previous successful run a college did with the same file. And I encounter the above mentioned problem as well when I use the material from the Circuitscape tutorial.

Thank you in advance.

Best,
Hannah

Hi Hannah,

Which version of Circuitscape are you using?

I think you do not specify an output directory but an output file. Nonetheless this is where all your files go with the filename you specified as a prefix.

Hi Ranjan,

I am running version 4 as standalone version in windows. It is strange because meanwhile I managed to run my files on a different computer. Seems to be some specific problem with my computer. Please let me know if you have an suggestions what might be the issue.

Thanks,
Hannah
