Welcome to the Circuitscape user group

UPDATE: The new, much faster Julia version of Circuitscape is available on GitHub - https://github.com/Circuitscape/Circuitscape.jl - please check it out and report any problems! Note that you do not need to code in Julia to run the new software, and there is an interactive script (rather than a GUI) for running the tool. Files developed in earlier versions are also compatible with the update. The paper describing the update is here: https://proceedings.juliacon.org/papers/10.21105/jcon.00058.

We also have a Julia version of Brad's Omniscape tool on GitHub here - https://github.com/Circuitscape/Omniscape.jl , with a paper describing the Julia implementation here - https://joss.theoj.org/papers/10.21105/joss.02829.

We are trying to shift all questions about installing and running both tools, and especially bug reports, to the GitHub sites. Conversations related to running the software can also be started under the Chat "gitter" section https://gitter.im/Circuitscape/Circuitscape.jl (there's currently more conversation on the Chat for Omniscape). Other questions related to application and interpretation, probably fit better here since we can keep them in a conversation, though we are open to suggestions.

Note that due to time limitations, we are not able to support previous versions of the software at this point, but other members of the community may be able to help. Also, we have small amounts of support (following the major investment by NASA to update to Julia that wrapped up in 2020), and count on users to help each other. Be like Brad, and help if you can.
