Hey Matt,

I just came across your blog post (rant?) re circuits
and circuits.web... Not sure what version you were
ranting about in particular, but I"m interested nonetheless.

I'm always focused on trying to improve the framework and yes
I agree with you, documentation has been quite lacking in many parts.
We're still working on that. Documentation is hard!

Give me a shout! Have you tried out the latest version 2.1.0?

cheers
James

While I can agree with parts of the post I'll say this simply: never trust a blogger that prohibits commenting. If you can't comment the conversation ends with the blogger. That's absurd if you ask me. In the spirit of conversation I've written a full reply (with commenting ENABLED) here: http://justingiorgi.me/?p=22

Yes I agree we need to work on the circuits.web
documentation (non-docstring that is). You mentioned
you had written some stuff up? Maybe you could attach
it and I'll see what I can do with it?

The other aspects of his rants I don't agree with however.

I love your blog post and retort! Thank you so much!
I will comment on your blog tonight!

cheers
James

Hi Matt!

Thanks for your reply! Yes v1.6 explains a lot!
*phew* :) No harm no foul right!

Please come see us on #circuits on FereNode
or join this mailing list if you have any issues.

I have taken your "documentation" rant to heart and
am reviewing the docs again and ensuring there are a
good decent set of docs for circuits.web too.

Happy coding :)

cheers
James

Hi James,

Thanks for reading the rant. Hopefully you don't feel like punching me too much after that!

I wanna say it was version 1.6? I can't really remember. But I'm absolutely willing to give 2.1.0 a try! I like the approach of the project -- it's very different from the other frameworks out there (in a good way).

I'll take another look at it -- and yeah documentation is hard, I agree. I'll be sure to send you a note or submit some things to the bitbucket page if I have any suggestions.

Take care,

Looking at the release history your rants at that time
totally made sense! :) Shame I didn't come across it sooner
and helped you out :)

cheers
