I dropped a battery and gave it 10 volts then i dropped a resistor and
made it 5 ohms. I then dropped a ground in and asked it to solve for
total current which should be 2 amps but i just get either choose a
device or an arrow! Am i doing something wrong? Also went through the
tutorial and got the same for that circuit as well. Any help would be
great! Im sure its user error!

This are the steps to solve for the current in iPhone Circuit4 V1.1:

1- Once you've created your circuit click the [M] button.
2- Now click the "Solve" option and finally click the "Current-I(t)"
option.
3- Now you should be able to see a small arrow. You need to drop this
arrow on top of the resistor. Touch the resistor to highlight it. Make
sure that the
arrow is parallel with the resistor, if not first click [Rot] button.
4-Now that the resistor has been highlighted touch the [Drop]
button. The current going through the resistor will be displayed in a
couple of seconds.

Please let me know if it is still not working for you.
