how to add a legend in circos

Thank you so much for developing the nice circos. Could you please show us the ways to make a legend by circos (please see attached a legend example)? Many thanks!

This legend was created by hand.

First, you'll need to enlarge the spacing between adjacent ideograms at the top of the figure to make space for it. This is covered in this tutorial:

I'm wondering if there is a way to add some text, label or something else on the spacing. Thank you!

No, you have to do this in post processing with Illustrator, Inkscape, or some other vector art app. You have more options when you work on the SVG file.

If you don't have access to these, then edit the PNG bitmap in Photoshop, GIMP, etc.
