Venn diagram to Circos

Hi,

I'm a super newbie to Circos. It was recommended to me by a friend who praised Circos and its flexibility.

I'm trying to fix a chord diagram (attached), plotted in Bokeh. However, what I need to actually do is to plot it in a overlapping way, so as an alternative to Venn diagram. 

For example, two chords coming from dark orange ideogram should in fact be plotted as one but stemming to dark blue and light blue ideograms. Hope this makes sense.

Can this be achieved with Circos and how to approach this?
