Changing ticks colors

Hi all, 

Is there any possibility of changing colors of ticks for each ideogram.

I tried by creating a separate text file and adding it to the ticks.config file but I couldn't get the expected results. 

It would be highly useful if anyone could help with the code and explanation...

You can change the tick color using the "color" parameter. See http://circos.ca/tutorials/lessons/ticks_and_labels/basics/

<ticks>

color = red

...

<tick>

...

color = blue

...

</tick>

...

</tick>
