Greetings All,

May I first thank everyone for all their posts. Circos is by far one of my favorite visualization tools, and I firmly believe that ANY data could be made to be visualized using circos.

With that, has anyone tried to call circos using the perl() function in MATLAB? I have tried, with no success: the function call proceeds without error but produces no results.

Any help/suggestions/alternative are welcome as I would really like to be able to seamlessly link my GUI-based MATLAB code with a circos visualization.

Thanks in advance,

Etienne

Have you tried a system() call?

I'm not a matlab user, but there's probably a function to do this.

It should be easy once you have the configuration files created.

e.g.
system("/path/to/circos -conf /path/to/circos.conf")
