Friends,
This is the film discussed at the recent Shabbos dinner/movie night at Workmen's Circle.
Alice

Dear friends, colleagues, supporters,

Because of you my very first online fundraising campaign to fund my documentary, Voices Across the Divide, has been a great success. Over the past weeks I have been deeply moved by all of your support. It is giving me hope that we can work together to create a better future in Israel and Palestine.

Your commitment is already making amazing things possible for Voices Across the Divide. I am thrilled to announce that the documentary has been invited to a festival in Tel Aviv organized by the Israeli organization, Zochrot, at the end of November, 2013. This is truly momentous. I am honored to share Voices Across the Divide at this festival focusing on the Nakba and hope it will contribute to a thoughtful dialogue, more understanding, and ultimately a just peace for all people in the region.

As we head into the final week of the Indiegogo campaign, I am asking for your support one last time. With only six days left, you have helped raise $20,453 in online gifts and $6025 in check donations. Thank you so much.

I hope you will help raise the final $4,547 to reach our $25,000 goal on Indiegogo! For the next 6 days all donations will be MATCHED by an anonymous donor. So your gift will have twice the impact. Please make your gift here: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/voices-across-the-divide

For the screening at the Zochrot Festival we are translating and creating subtitles in Hebrew.  At the urging of a Palestinian film maker, we are also translating and creating subtitles in Arabic.  Your support will help us hire two translators to complete this important task. It will make Voices Across the Divide accessible to many more people, highlighting this critical history, exploring the Palestinian experience of the Nakba and its multigenerational consequences.

Thank you for your support!

With gratitude,

Alice
