I have a website created with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I am trying to accomplish a 301 redirect (from http to a https connection) using my .htaccess file through filezilla. When trying to View/Edit the .htaccess file, I have a "transfer error". Which doesn't let me view/download/edit the file.

OK, I set my user as the owner and confirmed the ownership. I even chmod the directory and its contents to 777 and verified that. I can make any change I want locally however I cannot make any changes via ftp. when using filezilla i get Critical file transfer error I also get an error when trying to modify a file with dreamweaver via ftp.

when i upload my website to hosting. I config settings.php file, the website run ok. Now i want to change settings.php file. when i edited it, my hosting message "Unable to save your changes" and unable to open settings.php for writing. when i edited by dreamweaver, so i upload by filezilla "Error:Critical file transfer error". How i can change settings.php file.

Another note, HubSpot will also kick out any files I try to upload if there are critical errors or broken HTML markup in my templates which is a really clever failsafe in case I miss anything. Couldnt find a reference to that anywhere in the docs but once you figure it all out the current setup does make a lot of sense.

Usually, WordPress displays a critical error message when a bug is preventing the site from working. An email is also sent to the site administrator with more details about the error. If you cannot find that email, the next best step would be to check the PHP error logs in your web hosting account, if those are available.

I am having a problem transferring files to osmc using sftp.

I can connect to the raspberry pi 3 using putty with no problem.

I can get a file from osmc to my linux mint PC using sftp no problem.

We fixed the error easily by enabling the SFTP protocol instead of FTP. Both the SFTP and FTP are different file transfer protocols and the main difference with the protocols is associated with security.
