Sivachidambaram is the son of Padma Shri Sirkazhi Govindarajan.[4] Sivachidambaram has recorded a song, Enadharumai Raanuva Veerargaal, written by A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India. His extempore rendering of the song on 'Youth empowerment' in Tamil written by Hon'ble President of India Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, during the inauguration of Tamil Isai Sangam festival in Chennai was appreciated with a hue and cry.[5]
This is the discography of Indian male playback singer Sirkazhi Govindarajan, who sang in over 900 songs in Tamil films. The concert under review is that of R. Suryaprakash, who presented the compositions of Sirkazhi Moovar, namely Arunchala Kavi, Muthuthandavar and Marimutha Pillai. In his speech before the concert, the President and his friend sang a song "Valamaana Naadaakuvom" written by the President. This song, giving importance to the future of the children of India and to the country as well, received a great ovation from the audience. On December 26, 2002, Dr. Sirkali G. Sivachidambaram, was conferred the `Tamizhisai Vendhar' title at the inauguration of the annual music festival of the Karthik Fine Arts here today.
