Monster Hunter World hasn't received any major update lately, but thankfully the PC version of the game is getting some new features anyway thanks to mods. A couple of them have been released recently, introducing some welcome improvements.

In previous Monster Hunter games, setting the HUD to hidden still allowed vital information to be temporarily displayed by holding down the "camera" or "item selection" button. HUD elements could also be moved onto the second screen on DS titles. This allowed players to avoid having their vision permanently obstructed by floating bars on the edge of the screen when hunting, gathering and generally getting tackled by fish.

This time around, hiding the HUD permanently conceals HP, stamina, the minimap, sharpness, the majority of weapon specific parameters and some other things. Hence, this AutoHotkey script was written to act as a toggleable and moveable substitute for most HUD elements.

It is not intended to "assist" in hunting - fighting monsters without the original HUD should be done with the expectation of being left, in the best cases, at a marginal disadvantage. However, some features that do expose information not readily visible on the HUD are included because they were convenient to implement. Please be considerate of other players' wishes and intentions.

The second new mod is actually a tool that allows players to transfer PS4 Save Data to the PC version. Unfortunately, your PS4 save needs to be decrypted, and it can only be done currently on jailbroken consoles.

Allows you to transfer the character data from your PlayStation 4 save to your Steam PC save.
This, of course, requires a DECRYPTED save and therefore a jailbroken PS4 (currently only public exploits for =< 5.05 are available).

You might lose items or equipment that you have acquired on PS4 which is not yet available in the PC version.
This tool will create a backup of the specified PC save data file, so you can restore it easily in case something goes wrong.

How-to:
1. Dump your decrypted PS4 save (i.e. using Playstation 4 Save Mounter)
2. Open WorldSaveTransfer
3. Select your decrypted PS4 save as input (memory.dat) and the slot of the character you want to transfer to PC
4. If not already selected automatically, select your PC save data and the slot you want to save the PS4 character to
5. Click "Transfer character data to PC"

Hi! if you already own the digital version of MHW(like me) you should buy the digital version of MHW ICEBORNE. Is a DLC content/Expansion, so I think you only should go for the complete version/disk if you dont own MHW already.

About the most op weapon question, Im long sword main since MH3, its a very balanced and powerfull weapon(the best one that complement my playstyle). But there are others weapons that speed runners preffer, like bow guns or charged axe.

So I already own MHW. If I get Iceborne, will it be a separate entry on my trophy list? I assume it will, because it has its own platinum. But at the same time, it's still DLC that will be added on to the main game. Will it appear under my main MHW trophies but with its own plat?

It should appear as a separate trophy list. This has happened a couple times in the past where a DLC counts as a "Standalone" and gets it's own trophy list with it's own plat. "Infamous: First Light" and "Dishonored: Death of the Outsider" both behave in this way, and I bet Iceborne will too.

DLCs cannot have plat trophies. It's still possible that Iceborn might receive both a standalone and a DLC (attached to the main game) lists. Games like Shovel Knight is a good example.

if that's the case tho, a DLC list would have far less trophies than a standalone list because of the "Points per DLC" restriction.

Now that we know Monster Hunter Iceborne will have it's own platinium, do you think it will still be possible to unlock trophies of Monster Hunter World after the transfer ? My point is that I still don't have all the crowns in MHW and a lot of people tell me "Just wait for Iceborne, you could farm your last crowns with a better stuff !" but I'm conviced that after the transfer, you'll be only linked to Iceborne, and the trophies of MHW will still be unlockable launching MHW, with the state of your save before the transfer.

I was confused by the fact that a lot of people think that the Guild Rank will probably be reset, since some trophies are linked to Guild Rank. Also, the official website write about a "save transfer". Quote :

@BlackTorito is correct, there is a new Master Rank system but you'll still be able to earn HR points too seeing as yes, you need to get to HR 16 and finish the base story before you can start Iceborne. Think of IB as just an update, like Behemoth or Leshen, except on a massive scale, it's just adding content to the base game.

So you can basically work on two plats in the same game? Let's say I play Iceborne and I hunt large monsters specific to the DLC, I could get the 'Hunt 500 large monsters' from the trophy list of the base game?

I'm fairly new to the Switch (just bought one a few months ago), and a friend of mine has been playing BOTW using my console. I have a separate profile (User 1) for my BOTW gaming, and I set up another user for her (User 2) so we each have our own save data going on. (I also have some games I purchased digitally on her profile that I've been playing).

She recently got her own Switch, and I'm wondering...is it possible to transfer ONLY the BOTW saved data? As I mentioned, I did (without thinking) start playing some digitally downloaded games under the same profile that has her BOTW saved data. I'd like to move just her BOTW saves to this new Switch that she has, while keeping my digital downloads (which are under the same profile as her BOTW saves). Is this in any way possible? I'm willing to subscribe to Nintendo Online for the cloud feature as well if that makes things more feasible/easy.

Yes, it is as long as she has her own account setup you need to go to Nintendo site and follow their FAQ on doing data migration to do it correctly. She might have to redownload the game onto her Switch from her account again but her data should transfer over. So check with Nintendo Support FAQ on data transfer. Games downloaded on her account will move to her account but you can't access them if the other player is using them.

As far as I've seen, you can't transfer save data for just one game. You can only transfer a user's save data collection, as a whole. Nintendo support for US/Canada is pretty good, though(usually), for asking questions, if you wanted to ask there. You can use their phone, or chat messenger. (I've had great experiences, impressive actually, with them in recent years, but over christmas, I got a newb/temp that had to look everything up before answering. If you get someone like that, try calling back, or ask nicely for someone more experienced)

Again, details about how to choose primary/non-primary consoles was/is a bit fuzzy. But it seems like linking the two Switch consoles is kinda the only way to do it? I was told by someone at GameStop that I could then just choose the game file for which I would want to sent the save file. Does that make sense? Would that be a feasible alternative?

@Darko_Giac Yes, if you do a user save data transfer you have two options:
1. She'd end up having two consoles(a primary and non-primary),
2. Or, you do the transfer, and the everything on the source Switch gets deleted after the transfer - which removes her from the source Switch.
(Nintendo support has a page for setting Primary console, and another one for deregistering Primary console. The first console you set up, is by default, the Primary console)

Regarding transferring one game's save data - I can't confirm that. I've never seen anyone here discuss that here. I wont' claim to know everything, so I can't exclude it as a possiblity. If anyone knows different, or knows directions for transferring one one game's save data, by all means share. (Animal Crossing might be the exception? That game requires an app/download-tool to perform a save data transfer)

There are issues that come up if you have an account on more than one console. It's a pain in the butt. The primar/non-primary console system is designed for one owner who only uses one console at a time. There will be conflicts if you try to use both consoles at the same time. Many people have made accounts here to complain, or voice disappointment, about having more than one console.
