I've always loved the ease of use of having a video/picture file i wish to stream using the my local network using the play content feature instead of mirroring screen. The quality is often better and I can utilise the smart TV or console remote for playback.

I'm having the problem now that when i'm trying to stream to my TV it's no longer giving the option to "play content" only mirror screen, which is reallllly annoying. I've had this issue before that managed to fix itself somehow, but since my phone updated on monday the option is gone, and despite my best efforts i can't seem to find the option again.

see photo...it use to show up there. but now even though the TV's on and visible on the network it doesn't find it. when I go to mirror screen option on the LG TV it doesn't show up there either, but will when I go to play a video and select the smart view, but still only getting the option to mirror screen.

Ever since I bought my S22, I have not been able to play my music on the Samsung Music app. I've called Samsung before but have not been able to get it resolved. My music still shows there but when I hit play it super skips track after track. Any suggestions?

When trying to play from my hard drive plugged into the TV and my Plex server. I get a feature unsupported message. When trying to play a video on any app Netflix,Plex, Spectrum,Youtube and so on all present error codes. Any suggestions?

Hello! I was having this same issue and after trying literally everything to fix it. I finally gave up and just unplugged my tv from the wall and plugged it back in and boom it started playing video again!

@DJ42 Would help if you specified your precise model? Anyway have you checked you have the latest firmware on Samsung Support. If so options are to try a Smart Hub and/or Factory reset. See more here -audio-video/how-do-i-perform-a-factory-reset-on-my-samsung-tv/

I have a Samsung55 and same issue. Suddenly none of my apps will play videos..Netflix, Prime, HBO...I have reset Smart Apps. I factory reset the TV. Reset the Network settings. Tried the unplug and left off 10min....nada. Called Samsung and the snooty girl said it was my apps and its not, in the sense its the TV somehow affecting the apps. Its on automatic update...not sure when the last update was but its on version 1243. Other Samsung TV fine. Had to add my accounts and the work on so I know its not my home router or internet wifi nor wired.

try holding down the back button and the play/pause button at the same time for at least 3 seconds. That should repair your remote with your TV. I had the same issue and this worked for me. Good luck.

I have the media server set up on my Macbook Pro and other than one minor hiccup about a month ago (that was fixed by rebooting my wireless router), I have been able to watch Plex on my brand new Samsung TV without issue. But now I'm getting the oh-so-helpful "unexpected playback problem" error and I cannot get any of my movies to play.

The attached screenshot of the dashboard for the server shows that it's attempting indirect playback for some reason. If I could convince the app that it can use direct play, I believe it would solve the problem but I just don't know how to do that.

The same problem, I bought a q800b and Alexa worked for a couple of hours. I accidentally set a timer and it started playing at night, I started clicking on the buttons on the soundbar and the sound turned off, after that Alexa stopped responding. I tried everything possible, re-install applications, re-registered the soundbar to Alexa and smart things, changed Wi-Fi from 5 to 2.4, reset to factory settings, nothing helped, Alexa does not respond. In the Alexa application, the soundbar is online and can be controlled.
The microphone is on and the spacefit option is on. Firemware latest.

To connect your Samsung TV, projector, Blu-ray player, or home theater system to your Netflix account, make sure you are on the Home screen and select the option below that best describes your device.

We know technology is more important today than ever before. While life has changed for everyone, some important things remain the same. People need to connect. They need to work. They need to play and enjoy life. Together, Microsoft and Samsung are addressing these needs, creating experiences and devices that are easier to use than ever before while providing greater flexibility and access to the tools you need from any place at any time.

Hi guys, I have a new Macbook pro so it does not have a built in CD reader. I just went to target and purchased a Samsung DVD player that I as planning on hooking up to my computer using an HDMI cord. I opened the DVD app on the computer but nothing is happening. Any suggestions?

Playing Xbox games on 2022 Samsung Smart TVs gives Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members easy and instant access to over 100 high-quality games, including Xbox Game Studios titles on the same day they release. And as we recently announced, you can also play Fortnite without a membership through cloud gaming.

Smplayer can play this type of videos but you cannot rewind or fast forward. You can only watch it. I run Linux Mint 17 and all multimedia files play normally except .ts files which play in Smplayer only. I have installed the following packages ubuntu-restricted-extras - Smplayer which are not installed by default in Linux Mint 17. I hope this can help. Edited from this point :) I do a work around to solve this issue I use WinFF app to convert the .ts file to any other file that play normally which in my case I prefer the following settings in winff

That means you can start playing with your PlayStation console connected to a TV, pause your game and access the PS Remote Play app on your chosen device, and your game will be there, ready to keep playing from exactly where you left it. Or you can switch on your PlayStation console and start playing directly from the app, with no need to ever switch on your TV.

I mnde a Sky Q recording of a UHD broadcast (''Williams & Mansell: Red 5'' on skysports F1 UHD 8 July 2023) but when I try to play it on my Samsung UHD TV (''55in S95B OLED 4K HDR'') the box reports ''To watch this you need a UHD TV and have your picture resolution set to UHD To set now press [redbutton]''

Well I didn't know there were any such tutorials in the SkyQ box but among them I found one in UHD which I was confident would not play on my TV but I thought I'd give it a try and sure enough it produced the same error message as when I tried to watch UHD previously, and also the same ''..press red button now to fix'' message on screen as I had seen many times.

I've ordered a new HDMI lead with 8K+ specs so that should do 2160, meantime I'm wondering - could the SkyQ box be refusing to play UHD (recorded or streaming) because ar well as the 4K Samsung I'm struggling with also have a mini box connected to a much less capable Samsung. Could it be thinking that can't do UHD so none on the premises can?
