Are you serious??? This statement is really freaking me
  out! I was hoping that having my own tent will keep the bugs/critters out
  of my tent to some extent. Never thought they would be biting thru my tent!
  I've actually did a tour of the army tents and cottages and didn't care for it
  too much. How many times have this happened to anyone?? Oh,
  Geez! :(

Hi, I know you will love Cinnamon Bay & St. John.
     As for camping;
with a baresite you'll need to bring everything:
    yes the tent &
bedding, a small camp stove,a cooler,  a good
    strong flashlight and
or/ lamp. It gets really dark fast in the tropics;
    you'll need light
to find you way to the bathhouse, your tent etc.The
    amount of bugs
will depend on the amount of rain prior to your arrival.
    But be
prepared for the worst, especially after sunset. It is the
    tropics.
Also be prepared for critters who will steal anything edible
    you leave
out. They may also eat a hole
    through your tent to get at stuff inside
(that happened to me
    once).
T'ree Lizard Lounge serves ok food, but not
    always open during the
slow season.  The camp store leaves much to
    be desired and no fruit.
You're better off picking up some provisions at
    the Dolphin or
Starfish markets in Cruz Bay.
You may be better off
    renting one of the tents, since they come with
all the equipment needed.
    (except the flashlight)
Enjoy!
