Is there anyone out there who has been to CB recently who can say what the status of the tap water is in the campground? Was last there January 2013 and noticed a posting on bulletin board that the water test had failed in several areas. On the other hand, no one in the campground said not to drink the water. Other than it being highly chlorinated we did not notice any difference, though one member of our group did feel a bit queasy at week's end so we switched to bottled water ( a pain) for the remainder of the week. Thanks....looking forward to visiting in March for 10 days.

Hi Irv,
We were there in Jan. this year.  Also noticed the posted signs. To be on the safe side we drank bottled water. (Bought a couple of gallons in Cruz Bay & kept refilling the smaller water bottles.) But we used the regular tap water for cooking, making coffee and brushing our teeth.  No one had any bad side effects.
Have fun!

We were there December 2013 and noticed the sign also---First of all, it is a sign from at least 2012.  Second, we saw (mainland USA) Natural Park Service employees fill their water bottles and drinking directly from the outside spigot/fountain.  They knew nothing about the old sign warning of water problems.  They said the water was fine!  We did prefer to filter our water regardless.  We took an extra collapsible 5 gal water jug and have our own portable hand pump water filter (MSR Miniworks EX Microfilter), and after filling their 5 gal jug with tap water, we used that as our water to filter into our own 5 gal jug, or our own water bottles.  Worked very well.  Tasted great!
