The Model Context Protocol (MCP) has become the universal standard for connecting AI agents to tools and data — backed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft, with 97M+ monthly SDK downloads. But what actually is it, and how does it work under the hood?
In this session, James will walk through the MCP specification and break down the core concepts: transports, JSON-RPC messaging, tools, resources, and prompts. Then he'll show how Callibrity's own open-source framework, Mocapi, makes it dead simple to build MCP-compliant servers in Spring Boot — no custom wiring required.
