The Cinemocracy voted to reinstate mandatory injections of moon-juice to all of the titanium miners on Io (eye-oh). They don't know it yet because they have to wait 70 hours for the message to be delivered. Don't wait; link to this for next week: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082869/

Deep sea miners uncover a wrecked Soviet ship and bring its mysterious cargo to their base on the ocean floor. When they open it, horrific results ensue.

With Peter Weller (Robocop), Richard Crenna (the Rambo films), Daniel Stern, Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), Hector Elizondo, Meg Foster (They Live), Outland's Eugene Lipinski and the directing talents of Tombstone and First Blood Part Two helmer George P. Cosmatos, it's LEVIATHAN.

I'm linking Sean Connery's voice acting to animated feature in production for almost 30 years! Richard Williams (director of Who Framed Roger Rabbit) started production the 60's and working on this film became his reason for living; as he wanted to make the greatest animated film of all time. The movie was finally released in 1993 after changing studios multiple times, firing Richard Williams, and re-cutting/dubbing new voice actors. The original version was never released and has over 1000 on-screen deaths (which was cut down to 54 deaths in the 1993 version!) It also includes the voice talents of Vincent Price (in his last-released acting role). Let's watch the closest thing to a director's cut I can get my hands on:

THE THIEF AND THE COBBLER
(2008 RECOBBLED CUT MARK III)

Here's the trailer for this version:

Here's the history of the different versions:

Have I got a treat for you guys.  Thanks to the inimitable James Sikking, I get to nominate a movie that set back race relations thirty years, SOUL MAN!!!   this tour de force black-face comedy saw C. Thomas Howell at the height of his career, starring as a teen who pretends to be black so he can go to Harvard.  This masterpiece was directed by Steve Miner (Forever Young, Lake Placid), co-stars Rae Dawn Chong (The Color Purple, Commando), and features James Earl Jones (Dr. Strangelove, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins).

If you've ever wanted a movie where a guy in black face calls someone as 'white fat ass slut', this movie will deliver.
